Wow, traffic was that bad, that far away? No wonder I had to walk so far after taking the bus to Albany, I shouldn't have left the Twinjet at home that weekend, but it's not exactly a touring bike

PS Loved the music, but I never got laid in NY that weekend either!

Hopefully you did not have to walk all the way from Albany! Must be a further distance as from Middletown which is 40 miles +/- . Hopefully someone gave you a ride in a VW van with a Peace sign on the side and some rolling papers in the glove box.

Didn't those old VDubs just have a shelf that ran the length of the dash in place of a glove box? I was born in the sixties so I didn't get a chance to 'experience' them, therefore my memory may be a little clearer...

I don't understand the appeal of a trike to an abled bodied person, but some of those custom trikes are very cool.

I rode a 250 Ducati with a club from the Bronx and Yonkers. We spent a lot of time riding on the center divider. Yes there were plenty of chicks.

Ok, it's a given that Bobby would have scored, so back to trikes for a mo, here's a cool Goldwing with a removeable trike conversion. I've seen these before, kind of like fixed training wheels, and not a bad idea, especially if you've suffered an injury (whether it be permanent or just temporary) and need to make sure your bike won't fall over. The good thing is, you can remove it!

Here's one a tiny lady was riding last weekend in Anacortes Washington at the Oyster Run. The normal rear wheel drive and the outside wheels are like outriggers or "training wheels". Cliff.

Seems to me anyone feeling a brag being able to ride a motorcycle must also feel an equal or greater pride of accomplishment if they get on their old Schwinn bicycle and start pedaling...
I mean come on people.
I believe even the special olympics has bicycle riders ( not that I've checked ).
I see 3 and 4 year olds riding bicycles on youtube. (yes without the training wheels)
Some even streak off on the little 50 or 80cc mini put puts on two wheels.
So, you've already re-entered your childhood when you get on your motorbike and streak off on two wheels.
No need to applaud yourself or feel like a man.
Ok. ( yes it's a rant, ok it's rant, a good rant, very rant worthy)

As far as riding a trike I don't like the idea of no leaning, so I thought the link from page one was pretty cool.

I ve been looking at trikes I saw the can am and I liked it I saw some home made trikes also and I liked those also - I just love the way they look but most of all I love the way they ride - but you really need to see someone who knows how to ridem to understand what I mean, wanna talk about leaning ? These bikes tip at 25 mph turns you need to drift or scrape your ear on the asphalt to keep 2 wheels down. Verrrrrrry exciting
