Fuel lines and fittings
« on: September 21, 2012, 06:36:37 AM »
I tried to locate an OEM fuel line joint, but I believe it is NLA.

(http://a3.bikebandit-images.com/schematics/dzimages/honda/dzhon005/hj0906w0158001_files/11/0_1.png #24).

So I'm looking for:
A: A source that has the dimensions of the fuel lines and joints for a '75 550F

and

B: A good source to purchase from, be it internet or brick and motor.

Well, that's not a fuel line joint. I'm not sure what it does (no 550 in my yard) but it looks like a water drain fitting for the rubber filter box to carb octopus.
Currently hard to find as you know. Hopefully someone here can help, there have to be some at bike junkyards as well but I doubt if most would know what it is (particularly since the Honda parts fiche just describes it as "piece, air cleaner").
Try searching for the part number 17359-374-000 - this brings up a few listings that might have one. My experience is that most web parts suppliers list everything, and when someone orders something they try and get it - so unavailable parts remain unavailable. Some actually have parts though.

Thanks for the info Bodi.  The piece connects then engine breather tube to the bottom of the air box.

Honda calls it a "piece".

Didi you call up a Honda parts source?  (Perhaps WHH?)

Anyway, it is a plastic 90ยบ elbow, male to female for 12mm hose.
