So, if somebody nominate Carpy's bike for the stocker category it will have nothing to do against the rest. Each voter will choose which one likes best based on what are the points all the bikes will be judged upon, and not personal preferences or the mood of the day. Giving the participants the chance to explain in a few words why do they think his bike deserves to be the winner could also be something entertaining... ;-)

Isn´t personal preferences what it´s all about?
I think the fact that it´s hard to vote is a good thing as it shows how many good bikes there is on this forum.
I did not build my bike to win competitions, I built it because it´s the bike that I want.
I love it myself and if someone else also thinks it´s nice, that fantastic!
If no one else likes it, well, it doesn´t really matter because I still love it!
Another thing that might speak against categories is the number of votes listed. Was it 78 registered voters this month?
Don´t know why so few vote. Especially when all "categories" can be nominated at the same time?
The risk with "categories" is that the "stocker/resto"-people won´t even bother to look at the "ratbikes" and the "caferacer"-guys (and girls!) wont take an interest in "stockers" and so on.
That could bring the number of voters down even further.
I think the BOTM seems to be a nice and easy-going "competition" and I´m VERY proud to be nominated, make no mistake about that!
I also think the correct bike won last month, Chippys bike is built in a style I have never seen before and I think innovative ideas should be premiered.
It´s also a bike that I would have trouble to "categorize"....
Rat bike? No. Caferacer? Nah. Stocker? Noo. Chopper/Bobber? Nope.
So what is it then?
It´s a bike. And a great looking bike at that! Personally it was my favorite and even though I´m really more into caferacers, it blew my mind away!
My 2 cents (again... perhaps I´ve spent a dollar on this soon... ;-))
Cheers
