Magnesium race parts - dichromate green paint?
« on: September 15, 2012, 11:23:43 AM »
I want to paint some covers in a green colour similar to the old magnesium di-chromate colour as shown on this engine cover. Anyone know where I can get something to ape this finish and colour for normal alloy case covers? If anyone knows a brand, supplier or better still a paint code, it'd be appreciated...

You sure you don't want the pink code Simon. ;) ;D You think that footpeg could be closer to the exhaust? ???

Thanks for the info guys - Eastwood looks promising because I can easily get that in the UK, thanks :-)

Mike - the bike is red but the photo seems to show it as a pinky colour, bit weird. The footpeg is really right on the exhaust and that's how it comes from the factory. The picture is of a genuine, one of 62, factory Ducati supermono that I rode in 2002 at Mallory Park. With my size 12 feet, guess what I had problems with....? Changing gear becasue I couldn't get my foot to the gear lever without it coming off the peg thanks tp the exhaust...still one of the most awesome bikes I have ever ridden though  :D
