Hi
I have a 77 750 ss f runs great with 15,500 miles think it is a stupid question but how do you loosen cam chain lock nut what size wrench etc

Don't know the size off the top of my head, but try a couple likely candidates and see which wrench fits.
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.

Loosen the nut with a 10mm then it will automatically adjust.   After that is done, you hold the center threads with a screwdriver and tighten the nut again.

Loosen the upper nut closest to the cam chain tensioner main body, but only after you have set the motor in the right position for the correct tensioning of the chain...otherwise you risk releasing some tension from the chain, and then it gets noisy....

There is a correct procedure, probably written up in the FAQ somewhere..

Have a look in there first.

Not sure on the using the "screwdriver on the centre threads" method - can you give me some more info on that one "volz1fsu"
