« on: September 13, 2012, 02:10:39 PM »

I only have one auto parts store that carries the short fuses that my bike uses and they don't carry a 15amp.  Also what is a blade style?

Conversion to use blade fuses instead of the old glass tubes. Hondaman makes a nice one that just plugs and plays.

Most auto stores carry blade fuse holders than you can wire in to replace the stock tube fuse holder. My stock one was dirty and shot and melting. The blade fuse holder wired up quick and even fits in the metal prongs that held the stock tube fuse holder. You can even tuck a few spare blade fuses in the stock spare tube fuse holder in the tool tray.

I saw some today in the Tucker Rocky catalog so I ordered them up.  I will report once I get them if they are the correct length

I get mine at TSC stores. They are the right length and have always had 15 and 7.5 amp fuses in stock when I needed them.

Looks like the Tucker Rocky ones are the correct size.  P/N was 20-1201

As far as you not being able to find the fuses at your local auto parts store, at the one around me when I needed them (I think an advance auto parts) they had 1 box of assorted fuses.  If I remember right I had a hard time finding a 15 as well, but the pack had in it like a 16 or something that was close enough.
