I'm new to the forum and motorcycles in general. I recently purchased an '72 CB500 as a cafe project for the winter, and the previous owner recommended that I check out the forum for any questions I would have on repairs, maintenance or modifications I would be doing on the bike. The information I've learned has already helped me through some rough spots. As I've said, I'm new to motorcycles, but I'm fairly intuitive and have been taking things apart and putting them back together since I was a kid so a motorcycle was a welcomed upgrade from the toys of my youth. A little bit about the bike... Found it on craigslist for cheap. It ran, but leaked gas and oil out of every place possible. I have stripped the bike down to the frame and have started tearing down the motor... All new experience for me and I'm excited to see how she turns out.
