Topic: New to CB750's..

Just bought my first CB750.. I have to say I love the lines of the old hondas and happened upon this bike while trolling craigslist looking for my next bike and I have to say I'm in love... If you guys have any tips on my little rebuild here I'd appreciate it. I have two engines I have to make into one, The cam shaft lobes are bad on one causing a few stuck valves? I have to take the head off of one motor to put on the other. So wish me luck thru my winter project and godspeed to get this big bad girl running!

Thanks, I found this after doing some research. Does the right side of the frame come apart to allow for the engine to be reinstalled?

The SOHC CB750s do not.

The DOHC CB750s and SOHC CB650s do.

Mine is an 80.

Mine is an 80.

Last year of the SOHC CB750 was '78.
In '80 there was a C, an F, and a K model.

For the DOHCs, there are these forums:

The first one focuses more on the F models, and the second focuses more on the C models, but there is good info on both about the different models.
