CB750 Questions, K ???

To all you knowledgeable CB750 owners out there.  I have been contemplating building a 750 cafe or a CR750 Replica, have not decided yet, and am busy collecting parts and whatever i can find. The question is(as I don't have the bike yet) which K model should I go for?? does it make a difference?
Another question, what would a set of NOS K0 crank cases be worth, unstamped. would you rate these as a rare find?

hi kevin,i dont believe any k model is any better than any other for a cafe mod,the only thing i would say is try to stay away from the god awful looking late k gas tank.

If you got the money, go for CR750 replica. If you're on budget, go for 750 cafe.

I like the 1970 thru 1975 models.
Whatever you do don't get a K8 (1978) or else DUSTERDUDE might loose it.. ;D
Pretty much ANY bike can be made to look good, but those later year CB's just do nothing 4 me..
