Hondamatic rebuild
« on: September 24, 2012, 03:50:21 PM »
So something went wrong with my top end. Tons of smoke and oil out of the breather.  Going to pull the head and look at my bores. Thinking of splitting the case and replacing seals.  How painfull is it?

Is this a new development or increasing old one?  I ran into a guy that had left the fuel petcock on over a week or so and over a gallon of fuel had run thru the carbs because of a stuck float needle and he had the same results you describe. The engine had 2 1/2 galons of gas-oil in the crancase. His needed a oil change and all was well.
