Barber Vintage Festival - Cycle X

How many of you are going to make it down to Barber?  This event is nothing short of spectacular.  Huge swap meet, auctions and two days of vintage racing.

Last year I had an awesome race against Kevin Schwantz in the singles class.  Jay Springsteen passed Kevin and I on the last lap on his ex AMA pro XR750.  I saw Jay at the Indy Mile last month and told him about the Cycle X bike and he wants to bet me double or nothing in a heads up race this year...

Hope to see a bunch of you SOHC riders there.

Oh he knows about the Cycle X bike.  We've talked about it a few times.  He starting calling bull#$%* saying..."That aint fair.  You're gonna have motor on me..."  I replied, "Yeah, and you've been on the pro circuit for 30 years before I turned a tire on the track"  We both started laughing.  I reminded him that he had motor on me last year when I was on the 450 single.

It was funny because the Harley flat trackers at Indy were complaining about having to run restrictors and that the Kaws have motor on them.  We were laughing because it was f'n HARLEY who basically made AMA change the rules cause the Honda RS750 was so bad ass!!!

How about Danny Eslick on the EBR in Saturday's Superbike race???  He and Blake were going at it.  Best SBK stuff I've seen in years.  When Danny is on his game, he is going to pass you anywhere and everywhere.

That was a great battle, that EBR steers well from the rear.  8)

Have fun at Barber guys, hopefully their new plan works and there aren't 600 bikes out in three practise sessions!
