beautifully finished engine

Saw this custom job at the Anacortes Oyster Run last Sunday. It's a wrinkle-finish paint and it's immaculate.
Don't own a Vanagon
Don't work at Boeing
Life is good

That's a looker.  I wonder how resistant it will be to rocks and gas and life in general, though.
