Odd exhaust gaskets
« on: September 28, 2012, 07:02:04 PM »
I bought a set of exhaust gaskets 'just incase' from a vendor in a dark alley somewhere.  They are not like the usual copper ones that I have installed previously but are the same diameter.  They seem sort of .. fiberous, and have a  sort of foil inner and outer ring
Anyone ever use these, are they ok?
See the pic and an old copper one in the pic for comparison

Those look like the style gaskets for my XL250s.  Different style but should be serviceable.

Yes, I like that style of exhaust gasket.

I do not like the copper inside the aluminum head.
