It's not always the car driver at fault.
« on: September 29, 2012, 04:29:29 AM »
I have a video recorder fitted to the windscreen of my work vehicle to record my daily drive. I've captured a number of interesting events, however not far from home today I was following 2 bikes, both on provisional licenses and saw this.
Notice he hasn't got his left hand on the bars? It wasn't til he turned that I saw him holding up a mobile phone in front of his face. Not sure if he was looking at GPS or texting, but he sure wasn't looking in his mirrors or using his indicators either.

Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators.
We haven't met yet.

They've started to make it against the law to text and drive in lots of states now. But haven't changed about talking on the cell/ reading a book, newspaper while driving!! It's just like any other law, if it's not enforced then it's not worth the paper they wrote it on!!!.. Even with the NEW HI-TECH in dash touch screen info centers, Isn't it a LITTLE distracting to LOOK at the screen menu to change from radio over to find your GPS so you know where the f*** you are??

STARTED TO MAKE IT AGAINST THE LAW??man its been illegal since ever here to use a hand held device i think?ive been in trucks for years and never been hit from behind untill about two years ago,,three times in a year?twice at a left turn ramp and once at a red light, once on the bike and twice in the truck,,sorry man i didnt see you was the response i got in the truck,,the guy who hit my bike bike didnt hang around after i booted his grille so i dont know what his feeble reason was,,i dont believe in excuses,,theres only reasons!owens right on the money though,,ive seen plenty of dick head riders,,doing such foolish manouves you wouldnt dare do!

we aint all angels out there but theres a certain obvious level of danger and stupidity you dont go above,,maybe its higher for some people?

The term is 'SMIDSY' Dave, 'sorry mate I didn't see ya.' So what you're saying that even if your truck was fluro they will still crash into you? I seem to have read that somewhere else just recently.

one of the tail enders i had was a brand new school bus with no kids on board,he hit the bussiness end of the skip truck(the back end of a skip truck is built to slam and shove bins) and did no damage to my truck but smashed the left side badly on this bus,,another guy at work got hit a few years ago aswell,,#$%*?if you cant see a #$%*ing stinking big rubbish truck in front of you what hope has anyone got?same #$%*,,he said oh sorry i didnt see you??yeah thats because their texting and see you inch forward in their pheriphal vision and go for it and hit you,,let alone poor boxknife cleaned up by a total loser,,these are everyday ordinary drivers sober!but not concentrating!!!
