1977 Honda 750 Supersport First Gear
« on: September 30, 2012, 04:31:59 AM »
I took the Bike out for a longish ride yesterday. The longer I rode, dropping into First Gear, got more difficult. When it did go into Gear, it really seemed to "Bang" into First Gear. Then a little difficult going into Neutral. Any Thoughts? Can the Transmission Fluid be low?

Is this a new problem or is the bike new to you?  Clutch properly adjusted?  I had a similar problem on a 750 I purchased-in my case the motor case was starting to break at the sprocket area :'( :'(...Larry

There is no seperate transmission oil per say it all is lubed with your engine oil. Some people complain of poor shifting when the oil starts getting old and broke down, have you changed your lately ? Other than that maybe the clutch needs some adjustment.

This is a New Bike to me. Just got it about a week ago. I was told the Oil was changed. On the Dip Stick it looks clean. If the Clutch needs adjusting, how do I go about it?

Download or get a manual and start reading up to learn your machine is the best start. Probably some threads around here on the search function.
One other thing also if new to you may be technique related also, getting used to the bike. I have a couple of examples that are 'happier' going into neutral when I snick it in there just as it is rolling to a stop.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Something wrong with your puter? I've just had a quick look at some pages from it.
