Am I screwed?
« on: July 05, 2006, 09:08:06 AM »
I've got leaky forks, so I was going to change out my seals this fall after riding season. I thought I'd change the fork oil now and hope it would last me for a while. ANYWAY... I've just managed to strip the #$%* out of my fork cap bolt, and couldn't get it off.  Mr. P.O. liked to torque the bejeezus out of everything on this bike.

Anyone been thru this?

Make sure to loosen the upper triple clamp pinch bolts or  it'll never come out in one piece. Ask me how I know ;) :)
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame
