A question to US racers
« on: October 13, 2012, 09:32:18 am »
I know this has nothing to do with Honda's but does anyone know is there any XR 750 engines or engine parts available?
I couldn't find any on Ebay but I wonder how rare pieces of machinery they are?

Not turning into a Harley-dude, just trying to help a friend.

Call or email Dave Zanotti of Zanotti Racing.  If he can't help -- no one can.

Take care,

Thank you. I assume they race or have raced these bikes?

AMA Pro Grand National Championship winner Jake Johnson rides for Zanotti on an XR.
Take care,
David

OK, thanks, not familiar with the sport since we don't have it here.
Sounds like a place to contact.

You can still buy XR750 kit engines (P/N 16070-98R), about $12K US.  Of course you still have to machine the heads, and assemble everything. ;)

I thought those heads came bare...like in no valve seat cut outs etc etc. ;D

I did say 'you still have to machine the heads' MR.  Guess I should have been more specific, as in 'they need everything done', basically just the casting. ;) :)
