i just shipped some upper shock bushings to dave biffta,i know these were less than 1 pound.what amazes me is,it cost 1.70 us dollars to ship these from virginia to england.absolutley amazing.

I just shipped off a sidepanel to Australia today, weight of package was only 1 lbs 17 oz. and it cost  $ 22.75  to send.

I finally bit the bullet and purchased a reproduction ducktail off csm for my K0.

Shipping was $US 129 and taxes and customs charges this end was another $US 63. All that on top of the purchase price.

to put things in perspective,this was a 7 day ship deal,2-3 day would have been around 21.00.

Yeah, you have to be on your toes...I ordered two new sidepanels from CMS...on the site, the price said 55.00 ea....I thought cool! That was easy!....It wasn't until I received them that I realized that 1. I had ordered them from CMS-NL (Netherlands), 2. that it was 55.00 Euros, and 3. that I was paying shipping from the Netherlands! I ended up paying 180.00 US for them, only to find the exact same parts in JC Whitney for 29.00 ea.!

my 2 cents , i have just bought a seat off joe (proteal 55), and shipping for that was $114 usd=£61.23 uk pounds and also i won a tank badge last night on ebay and shipping for that is $15.00 usd=£7.90, theres not a lot we can do to shipping costs unless we buy our own plane  ,   mick.

Seriously gotta wonder how that happened to you....I've ordered side panels from them and never payed that much in shipping.

If that part from J.C. Whitney is EXACTLY the same post the two links side by side and let us have a look. Last time I was the J.C. ones they were nothing the same with cheap crappy bolt on tabs to boot! ?

I think what happened to me was I was stupid. This was about three years ago, and before I found you guys, and I had no point of reference to work from. I couldn't find them anywhere, and was leary of used parts. There was an article about Vic World building a '69 sandcast in 24 hrs. in a magazine, so I emailed him..First, he #$%*ed me out for bothering him...then an hour later, he wrote back and appologised and sent me the link for CMS.....didn't say that it was overseas, and I never picked up on it...It's true though, that CMS has just about anything you could want if you want to pay for it...I think my panels are OEM.

I thank dd for his help, when the post costs are not such a big amount of money and I appreciate what he’s done, I’ve done it in the past for other people from the wanted section and sent parts, free he’s a nice guy, but you can get your fingers burnt by people on this site when you try and help them and the postage cost is high because of the weight from UK> US and they get the parts for free but never pay the postage bill., It’s no big deal but that sort of person who agrees and don’t pay is a  wanker  IMHO......... be careful people

Ahhh Jeeezzz...then I get my credit card statement in the mail today and the bloody Mastercard has stiffed me for $13 on top of it all for "currency conversion fees". Usurious, scamming, rip-off bloody banks. Considering it is done electronically in one thousandth of a second I have been shafted once again.
