well - we had a good time - me and stlrocker and jsaab and einyodler - just the four of us, but we managed to fill up a couple of hours with stories and laughs and bull#$%* and it was pretty cool - we did miss you prs - next time buddy...

we are talking about a ride. out west apparently there is some lovely road we should check out - we did not pick a date, but i think the vote for cooler weather was unanimous.

there are a couple of rag-tags that are friends of mine and if it is okay with everybody they may meet up with us to hang out next time and maybe to ride.

as far as i'm concerned this was a success! pix to come soon - me and einy got out snaps on and will post up soon for your viewing pleasure.

junkie out...

Well it sure was great to be able to put faces to names and finally meet everyone last night.
We`ll definitely have to get together for some group rides.

For some reason I can`t log into the new gallery to post hi-res images so I`ll post a few pics here for now.

Definately a good way to spend Sunday afternoon. Good to meet everyone else finally/and CBJ again.
I especially liked the differences in everybody's personal "style of design" for each bike, and the individual innovations....had a few beers, talked about some of the "famous" names/characters on SOHC 4, cussed and laughed about losing auctions on E bay, exchanged technical pleasantries....
a good time. A future ride for sure... 8)

I'm prolly gonna need a bit of help on the electrical. When I pulled the good ol' bucket apart to change the bars a couple wire fell out of the harness from an undetermined location. I for one suck at diagrams (the whole color thing). Other than that it just needs some pretty basic stuff done to it. Throw the carbs back on, etc... (been procrastinating that for some unknown reason

Yeah either one of those days are fine by me, if you wanna swing over and lend a brother a hand. I'm on the east side of the river, if you dare to tread over here  :) On a crappy note my seat, side covers and tank aren't back from paint yet. Might have another week. The whole no power thing gave my guy a bit of a set back. Oh well, should be done this weekend.

well, yeah - it was July 30th - it was no big deal - 4 of us drinking beer and shooting the #$%* really...

but a good start anyways - we want to do a ride once everybody gets it running - the thought for now is something out West - Hwy 94 down from St. Charles...

Got a runner today, so if ya'll want to start firming up some ride dates that'll be cool. Is there anyone else that we are waiting on to get running?

:) Sorry!!!!
The 750 is still a no go. Electrical and then just waiting on stuff from paint still.... But I bought back an 80 650 (that I sold about two months ago) today and it's running like a champ! Waaaay to quiet though. In a way I can't wait for the weather to cool off a bit, but at the same time it's gonna keep dropping. I really don't stop riding until around thanksgiving but still it's kinda inevitable.

I thought Einy was going to come over and give you a hand with that...I would be about as much use as a wooden bannanna, I'm afraid.

I'll be interested in the 650 - I am always contemplating stepping back on the next bike just a notch or two...
