I, for one, look forward to the crazy beast you're building. I'm with you on the age thing- my bike was made 6 years before I was born. I'm sure I'll have my own quirks about things when I'm older (don't you DARE cut up that AWESOME Toyota shortbed! They run for ever!) but there are enough cherries out there that the occasional hack job won't ruin much.

I cant decide between john deere blitz black, gloss black, or gloss red for the frame.  Since i plan on keeping all the rear framework exposed I think it will be an important decision...

And we have our first hater, I want it because all the old timers will hate it.

Hater???/  It does NOT have to have stock exhaust but just not up high for this particular engine. Most of the bikes that have high exhausts in the rear was for a very good reason. They had V4 engines OR V twin engines and the rear cylinder exited the rear because IT MADE SENSE.

Not really . I just am trying to save you a lot of hell.
Carry on floppy ears!!  LOL.lol

BTW.... some old timers have some information that is very helpful.
If you listen to some old timers you may save time ,money, pain and frustration.
Also OUR generation got you all the modern luxuries you now enjoy. We got us to the moon. WE made the airplanes, We made the trains, We built the freeway system. We made the first phones that worked perfect and clear as a Bell.

Are you trying to say the the generation that went to the moon is the same generation that invented the airplane?

I'm not sure what generation you're referring to but while you're at it you may as well add Planet Starbucks, overpackaging, the Gremlin, McDonalds, modern advertising, infomercials, credit cards, sitcoms,DDT, agent orange, Enron...

Are you taking credit for all of that as well? Get off the soap box, we need the wood.

Warwick, I'm excited to see how this turns out.

I think the CL may have had a different cam than CB, to make more torque, less HP... could be wrong.. but who cares anyway?

I only used the frame from the CL...

not sure where you were going with that 754.  Interesting though I thought all the motor goodies were the same and only the exhausts and some suspension bits were different between the cl and CB.

I think it was in refernce to Lucky saying the CL was down a couple of HP to the CB.

That means all owners are under their threat. They think it's very cool that their estrogen levels reach an unbearable monthly proportion on a continuous basis, it shows off how into it they are, it makes them somebody.

Just hand them some midol and if they even think about telling you what to do it's falcon punch time.  ;D

Lastly, after re-reading my previous posts I felt like I portrayed an attitude that I didnt intend to.  My hater comments were meant to be funny but I dont think they came across that way.

No they came across as hilarious, and they also have a ring of truth in them. Sorry about the dog/sheep mix up maybe that's why I was laughing so hard it's a great avatar pic.

Lucky was in his helpful mode when he first commented. Those with experience do that here, that's what makes it great.
I've also noticed Lucky does some primo restoration on parts he sells at great prices I saw on the sell part of this forum a week ago, nothing to be sneezed at. The carb for instance was fully rebuilt and the price was extremely good.

So hey if purists are so offended, so can owners be.  ;D

And lest we forget, it's the old timers and the purists who help us sorry asses out when we're sitting there puzzling how that stupid cam chain tensioner is supposed to fit. Takes all kinds- the purists to make 'em work, and the heretics to blaze new trails.

Next old bike I come across is going to be gutted and have the frame filled with car batteries and an electric motor. Then I shall paint it pink and orange and write HARDLEY DAVIDSON on one side and LOUD PIPES SAVE LIVES on the other just to piss people off.

Geez, don't get too excited SB, it's only a horrible old Honda twin, any mods would have to be an improvement! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Nope this one is a 350, I haven't added it to my signature.  My last build was a 550.  If you look at the frame its got that ugly backbone the 550's lack.  I toyed with the idea of removing it and using a modern swing arm and front end but in the end I wanted to keep some of the vintage look, and it all seemed like way too much work for something that makes 35hp.

haha, i noticed it after I took the pics.   I am the mechanic for a limousine company.  Our drivers are fond of leaving #$%* laying around in odd places.  Im surprised there isnt a penis straw or boobie tassels laying around in some of the pics.

Hey boobie tassles would go well on the end of the handlebars, and whatever a penis straw is sounds like a good carb air pressure tube.

Hey Warwick, I just got a funny idea that I'll post just to make up for my foul mouthed hater hatin' rude pseudo sarcasticness...ever seen a tz750?...how about one pipe in the more traditional location and one pipe under the seat?  I love the assymetrical look of the tz with pipes sticking out all over the place...
