I am trying to figure out if the my Accelerator pump on my 1976 CB750A is hooked up properly.  When I pulled the tank I noticed that only two of the ports had vacuum hoses attached.  Is it possible I am missing a hose or is their suppose to be one port empty?

From the microfiche it looks like one of the ports is not connected to anything.  Am I reading the microfiche wrong?

I also wanted to know if the part from 1977-1978 CB750A (36161-393-033) would work on a 1976 CB750A which calls for (part # 36161-393-013) ?

I have just have gone through some carb. issues with my 1976 750 A  and I am sure there are more people out there that know more but I believe you are talking about the vacuum switch that is activated by the changing relay to move the vacuum slave that bumps up the RPM's so that the bike doesn't stall when you put it in gear. That hose on the bottom (on mine) hangs down and is open  Now the accelerator pump is physically located in the #2 carb. To get to that you have to disassemble the #2 carb.

No the part I am referring to part number 2 which located outside the carb.  See the photo on the microfiche pic attached

What vacuum hoses attach to the ports of part #2

I viewed the micro fiche and I stand by my explanation. Take a good look at your bike with a printed copy of the fiche in hand and follow it about. Please read it again.

I am also not sure what you are asking.

The problem seems to be that you are talking about an accelerator pump, but then you provide a figure that IS NOT anywhere related to the accelerator pump.

I think that this diagram from the Service Manual will help:
1978 CB750A (upgrading very, very slowly)

Past bikes - Honda: SL350, CX650C, CB900C, CB1000C, CM450A; Kawasaki: several 1972 750 H2's; Suzuki: TC90J.

Bikes I want: CX650ED, a mid-sized japanese V-twin with ABS.

Can't answer your other question.

Does anybody else know the difference between a 76 and a 77/78 throttle positioner solenoid?

I am referring to part number 36161-393-013/36161.  Which is simply called Valve, Solenoid on the CARBURETOR (SOLENOID VLV) Schematic on the micorfiche.  This is part #2 in that drawing.

There are 3 ports coming out of this part along with an electrical harness.  The microfiche shows only two rubber tubes/vacuum lines coming out of it and nothing coming out of the port 180 degrees opposite of the electrical connector.

Please look at part # 2 in the attached drawing

My question is does any line/tube connect to the port which is on the opposite side of the electrical connector?

If you looked the drawing I provided from the Service Manual, you would see that I did answer your question.

Please understand that the goal of a parts fiche is NOT to help you put the bike together.

Regardless, here is the fiche marked up to answer your question.

Thanks,  I figured it out shortly after I sent my response

Found the picture on the Shop Manual page 13-8

The 3 ports go to

A) Throttle Opener
B) Carburetor
C) Air-Box
