Here's a good one for all the crew based in our southern states of OZ.

The 31st Annual Southern Classic Vintage Motorcycle Races will be run at the State Motorcycle Complex at Broadford Vic. There will be bikes racing on the track from the 1920's to 80's and riders from their 20's and late 70's.Lots of characters and weird and wonderful machinery.
October 20th & 21st. Racing Both days.
The 31st Anniversary Southern Classic, hosted by the HMRAV,(Historic Motorcycle Racing Association of Victoria) is the premier classic motorcycle racing event of the year. There will be over 200 Competitors riding machinery including solos and sidecars from the 1920s to 1982, including plenty of rare, exotic, and even some odd ball machinery. You will see hand-shift Indians and Harleys, Manx Norton's, Triumph Thunderbirds,Suxuki GSX's,AJS's,Ariels,BSA's Honda CBs, Kawasaki Zs and many more iconic makes will compete in this years event packed program. The feature Southern Classic Races for all classes, the ever popular handicap events will ensure non-stop racing action throughout the weekend. We'll have open pits for spectators who are welcome to see the goings on, look at the machines, take photos and talk to the riders. There will be fierce, fast but gentlemanly competition, and lots of camaraderie between riders, spectators and officials.
Parade laps will be held during the lunch break on both Saturday and Sunday showcasing rare and exotic racing machines from the past. These will also form part of a static display for all to see.

Sam. ;)

Be more specific Sammy, Ev or the bike? :D

If your referring to the bike, we are entered for this years Oz titles at Eastern Creek starting November 16th.
The boys did a great job getting the frame straight while I was laid up and mechanically it's ready to go.
But it is a race against time to organize new bodywork.
At the moment all we have is a big pile of fiberglass.
I intend to get a new topic up shortly.

I would have liked to have been able to do the Southern Classic, but it was not to be.
We won this event last year and it's all ways nice to defend a title. :(
I will still be there though, giving a couple of mates a hand and drinking as much of their beer as I can.
So if any bodies going and you happen to spot an old fella hobbling around on sticks, say g'day it's probably me and I'm always up for a chat. :D

As for Ev, that's on a need to know basis and you don't need to know. ;D

Cheers,
Brian

Best wishes mate and hope that it all comes together for you and the crew.
You've jumped some bloody big hurdles mate and you deserve to be able to get out there and kick some arse.  8)
If I was you
I'd be worried about me.
