cb400f carbs
« on: October 12, 2012, 08:02:17 AM »
Hello all-
Here's a short update..14K on my 77. Split the cases due to the cam chain adjuster sticking.
We are replacing rings, guides, slippers.four buffers, camchain and piston pin circlips  seeing as it's open. Brgs were good. I had issues with the carbs before the engine dismantling, but with Seafoam, seemed to clear up. Then came  the camchain issue. Now, I'm thinking,as the carbs are off, should they be again disassembled and maybe sonically cleaned,so I don't have issues after the assembly?  They were only soaked  by my bike mechanic ,then kits installed, not sonically cleaned. Is there someone on this site who does the proper cleaning and how much? The kits are new. Please pm me at jcoryea@hotmail.com Thanks!
