Loose main jets on a 350f
« on: October 13, 2012, 09:11:38 AM »
The main jets seem to not be as tight in their bores as when I installed them in July in fact they will slip out by just gravity. I'm thinking this is an issue since it will conceivably cause the gas to bypass the jet hole and fatten the mixture. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a way to modify the carb to accept screw in jets?

do your carbs have the leaf springs in them for holding the main jet in? Have you installed new orings on the jets?

Sounds like an o-ring problem. I've the same issue. Does anyone know where to get replacement o-rings?  Dealership?

Yes and yes, new jets came with o-rings and were snug fit when I originally installed them. Odd that they would shrink in a matter if a few months.
