Ha ha, well if you don't sell 'em to Steve, I've pondered this situation myself with my K1 when I took the gaiters off the forks and decided that I'd just grind the gaiter lip off the headlight brackets, but I found some chrome aftermarket headlight brackets in a box and used them instead. Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

the clocks look like those off a DOHC 750 or a comparable year honda bike, my 650 had the same ones.  It also had air shocks.  Not sure about the 750 DOHC's though.

I bit the bullet and bought a very nice Sunflake Orange K4 tank off fleabay.

BUT THEN! Of course the day after you spend some dough on a tank, someone makes me a good offer for a gold tank (no stripe, but badges) and gold side covers :) :) ...I would have a hell of a time finding orange covers to go with that ebay tank, so I think I'm gonna buy the gold set, and sit on the orange tank.

Cleaned and rebuilt the crabs.  Only used new gaskets for the float bowls, so here's hoping the orings still seal ;D I got everything put back together, and was ready to start her up again, but was foiled by a very leaky petcock.

No on the porsche, haven't bought one yet...yet.  Looking for an early 912 to gut, and turn into a Gruppe R car.

Greg,

How's the TURBO bike coming along??

Well, not much progress...I only get a few hours a week to work on my projects, so after I made sure it runs it got put on the side burner.  I did find a Yoshimura magneto ignition system for it, so the ignition issue has been resolved, and it won't need a battery.

New seat came in the mail, and while I'm not incredibly happy with it, I think it was a fair value for the price.  I had to take a hacksaw to a protruding bolt so I could attach the frame mount on the pan, and it definitely is a plastic pan...thick plastic, but plastic nevertheless.  Once on the bike, I was a little more satisfied.  It looks just like an OEM seat, and it has a nice feel to it.

Carbs started leaking from the Tee's last time, so that was my first project today.  New O-rings on the tee's, and I popped the new tins on to see how they look.  The trim piece was covered with masking tape that just needs to be carefully removed...pretty happy with it ;)

I have an extremely nice orange flake tank, but the flake was too chunky to match the repainted covers.

Depends on your definition of Boss Stev-o ;) ;D

Cool thanks.

Thanks BrandEn.  I forgot to mention that I upload them with a Photobucket app, then pull the IMG code, which gives me nice big thumbnails that can be clicked to enlarge.

That's $100K in tools right there...not mine, but I get to use them ;D ;D  Those were left behind by one of my dad's mechanics because he doesn't have any space at home for them.  He'll pick them up someday, but nobody's in a hurry as long as the tools get treated well.  It helps me figure out what I need most as I build my own tool set for working on bikes too.

Deno, thanks man.  It'll be mostly stock.  I'm not going for a restoration, just making a rider out of it...too many transplant parts to go back to stock.  It starts up on the first push, and runs/idles really well after I got the carbs sorted.  I think I've gotten really lucky with the last few sets of 750 carbs, because all I've had to do is clean the jets with cleaner and wire, and blast out the passageways with compressed air/cleaner.  Doing the o-rings on the tee's with this one was the worst I've encountered.  They just seem less finicky than my 500/550 carbs.

Wrestled an air box on for half an hour, replaced the clutch cable, and installed a new flasher to replace the broken one.
