I'm just about done with the sandcast, and it looks like this one is next!  I'm trying to buy a complete front end from another member, and I have aluminum wheels I scored from Stev-o a couple years back that I want to use on this one too.  A triple gloss black tank from Bill Benton will deliver fuel, and some K0 side covers from Frankenstuff will deliver cool :)  I put a super light weight Yoshimura machine bent pipe from the '80s on, but I want to keep the air box, so I'll probably do the Hondaman drill holes in the box modification, and jet up.  I've got a oil pump rebuild kit from Elan I know it needs...last couple times I checked all the oil drained back into the motor.  That's the Corbin Gunfighter seat on there too.

I've got some work to do, but that didn't scare me with the others!  Hopefully I can get this one done quicker ;D ;D

Yeah!  Will sound "Boss-Ass" with that on there.

Why do you need a whole front end, Greggo?

EDIT: Just remembered, that front rim has twin discs

I'd use that front end with the later Boldor twin piston calipers, a big improvement over stock... ;)

What you can't see is that half of it's missing ;D That front end is slightly taller also, and I want to go back to the stock height..

Not exactly sure really, I haven't measured yet...it just looks and feels a bit taller than my K6 and the sandy...really I could be wrong. The whole front end all needs rebuilding and I'm not even sure exactly what bike it came from, so I'll save a load of time buying another front end to swap in.

Front end came in...all very nice!  Black powder coated legs with new tubes and progressive springs.  He had the super bike bars flipped, so I'll have to re-work those to set up in the standard position.

I'll be using some aluminum rims from a 750A or a GL1000 (can't remember)...the rear is meaty, but I have to find a hub and spokes...the front is laced up already, but the brake disc needs to be swapped.

Hey Greg, I know it's here somewhere but could you post another side view of the gunfighter? I may still have a bit of credit with Corbin and might want to get one in the near future.

I might take you up on that!  I think these rims came from you...

I don't have a direct side shot, but here's one that's close..

That will work Greg. Yeah I like that seat. Those are on the shelf ready to go correct? Here's a couple of pics of the one they made for me while I waited. This was built on a stock pan. Yours is glass isn't it? The pic with me in it is from the first rally. This was taken by Sean (Scondon) in Farmington on our way to Fernley, Nv. to meet Greg(Ofreen). Thats Fat Matt's F behind mine and you can see a little smidge of Sean's F to the other side. I would have met you a few days earlier in Santa Cruz but I couldn't get off work.
A buddy of mine won a $500 gift certificate from Corbins on a Top Hatter poker run back around 06-07. He won the lowball hand. He didn't want a new seat for his Harley so I bartered with him for the certificate. I think they still owe me around $150 for the change from $500 (if they will still honor it....it's been awhile!). I will check with them one day. I'll keep the one I'm running for 2 up riding.

That was a fun ride down to Santa Cruz on my 500..the ride back against the afternoon winds on 1 were harsh though.

I haven't had any long ride experience on the Corbin, but it's really comfy from what I remember.  The pan I think is plastic...it's the prototype.  Member 'Domer' (Danny) sent a K6 down to Corbin when they agreed to remake the gunfighters.  They built the prototype using that bike, and in exchange gave him the seat when they were done.  I ended up buying that K6 and it came with the seat.  The K6 is long gone, but I will probably never let go of the seat...

If you need to buy some stuff from Yamiya...now may be the time.  The dollar is strong vs the yen right now, so I picked up a few things to convert the wiring to K0...new genuine Honda wiring harness, and repro hand switches with black kill knob shipped for $205.

No number pipes are down to $13xx compared to $15xx in the past few years...

Parrrrrrts!

What do you guys think about using the air valves on the front shocks?  Worth it?  There is good Honda fluid in them now...

Went with the K0 harness and switches...I'll swap over whatever else I need to.

I upgraded the front springs to  Progressives (and tapered bearings) and am happy with the handling.
So, I would would say the air valves are not worth it.

Looks better already with those ape hangers off there.  So what's the overall plan here, Greggo?

Ha!  I actually put those drag bars on just to move her around...those 'hangers' are actually stock K4 bars, and they're going back on ;D ;D

I mocked the seat up after putting those drags on and the ride position was horrible...

Are you sure about that?  They look higher, but could be the angle?

Never seen one stamped before, but then most of the bikes I've bought have had aftermarket bars.
They look bent in that pic on the carpet.
