Actually Frank, I expect you're serious with that statement, and it would be true. Where there is a long term familiarity with rider & machine, it can count for a great deal.

Yes Brent, you are exactly right. I built the bike from the ground up. I know every inch of it, every piece. I know when its not acting right. Its like a your child/sibling in reality. Thats why I say we've grown up together.

Email from the Cup says only 24 days left til we race at the finals. Time to start some countdown maintenance on the F model and a once over on the wife's drag bike. Also need to get the used motor installed on my ZX10 in hopes it'll be quick enough to compete in the street fighter ( 9.50 index) class.

Well, I got the engine bolted on the frame the other day. Been working on installing the accessories and wiring. Hope to get the throttle bodies and tomorrow night and maybe fire it up Saturday. If it runs right, I'll be looking for a drag strip on Sunday to go testing. Keeping my fingers crossed it'll run good so I can get back onto my SOHC. Not much time til the Cup race. Also hoping the rest of the Sam Green Racing team is ready.

Well now, its time to get busy installing this new gadget on the bike. It's a digital rpm window switch. The plan is to use this to activate a launch light on my bike to be more consistent with my numbers- originating with the 60' times. I'll wire it up so the light only comes on once the engine revs up to the preset rpm, and only when the clutch lever is pulled in. I don't have a tach but the window switch has a digital rpm readout so I can determine my set point.

I need to make some rounds this weekend and I'm hoping this setup will help me.

You run without a tach while racing.? Your bike must be 20 lbs lighter than Bills.
I liked running without tach fir streetracing, but I think I may use one again..after an...incedent..

Lol, i think my bike is 30lbs heavier than Bills actually. I do use an MSD shift light that's trigger by my MC3 ignition box.

Oh boy, I was pooped out this evening and never went to the shop to work on the Honda. I guess it'll just be basic oil change, chain lube, wipe down and load up for this bike tomorrow. So much for the launch light installation. I hate wasting days like this

A friend of mine used to run circle track stock car. There was a terrible knocking sound coming from the car, especially in the corners...

Valve adjustment had to be done on a few. Some were to loose and a few to tight. All good now. Pulled the oil pan and didn't find any copper colors.Based on what's in the pan, The bottom end should hold up for one more race.

Just left the Honda dealer. Dropped $195 on a partial F3 OEM clutch pack. Ouch. Needed them by Thursday so I shouldn't complain. The things we do to race😞.

I've gotten lucky a few times on eBay with finding individuals selling the obsolete NOS plates. No such luck this time.
