Oil filter adapter

Hardly anything new invented here, just another run of the mill adapter.  I like Bosch and I built it to accommodate 3323 which is quite common in our neck of the woods.

The nipple has M20x1.5 on both ends and screws in the engine block.  Next comes the aluminum plate with O-ring from CH6009 and the nut to hold the plate against the block.

I was lucky enough to find that nut - if I remember correctly it is from 1995 Ford Taurus front spindle and it has M20x1.5 thread too.  To turn the nut down was a bit of a challenge, but nothing the carbide insert would not do.  The nut has a collar that fits in the opening of the aluminum plate.

I wanted to make the nipple from a chunk of steel, but this time the scrap metal bucket under the lathe yielded piece of Corvette hollow steering bar 20mm in diameter.

Nice job. So it's just unscrew and replace ? Looks like it.  ;D
 Ooh I really like now.

Oh one moment please...while I kick in mr angry negative ********... before someone else does.

Ahh.. cb750 you must live in a bright neck of the crime free woods because a strong grip strolls by and your brand new filter is gone, your oil is on the tarmac, and you're stranded. I hope you have a Nike alarm, or a bike alarm.

Not to mention, a good sized rock and it's right through that tin can bosch instant oil spray painter, and you're stranded on the highway that time.

There is a reason Honda engineers decided in their vast wisdom to encase in strong metal...  >:(

( feel the hate, let it flow through you ! )
Gosh I hope no one else posted yet.

ps edit #2: You thought I was done ? Hardly!

Have you done an oil pressure test before and after ? How about a flow test ? Have you checked cooling characterstics ? If you're into early engine damage ignore this.

(hahaha)  ;D Okay now all that is out of the way.
