Damaged Carburetor Valves
« on: October 12, 2012, 08:01:51 AM »
It has been quite a while since I've posted.  My plan to get the Honda CB550 I was working into a shop stalled due to lack of funds.  I came across an old Yamaha 650 Special that looks to be in great shape but hasn't run in many, many years.  I removed the carburetors and noticed that two valves are stuck inside the carbs.  Not only are they stuck but whoever tried to work on them completely stripped them.  I am hoping to get this Yamaha running and sell it to pay for the Honda to get properly fixed up.  (I just like the Honda better though it is 10 years older, has a lot more miles and a smaller engine...)

How am I going to remove these valves?
