Maine Earthquake... Bike is still standing
« on: October 16, 2012, 05:38:07 PM »
Everyone is panicking over this mild quake.  All I did during the rumbling was check to make sure my bike didn't tip over.  Anyone ever have that happen?? Or hurricane of tornado damage? Pics???
" Why does anyone get offended by what someone does to their own bike? I dont get it. "

You made me think about it after I cheered knowing someone else would like to know what these control freaks are up to.
Every time any owner strips whatever precious Honda part the horrified purists parts go up in value. That's not the part that bothers them.
What bothers them is they sat up late at night, their breast full of wonder and estrogen, unable to sleep, dreaming about their lovely darling and all her glory... and next thing you know someone else doesn't share their emotional deluge and their reaction is they must spread their mind museum as far as they possibly can, taking over as much of the real world as possible.

We felt the quake here in Mass.  Felt very strange.  No damage that I know of.

Earthquake in Maine? That's a trip but not totally surprising. Had a mild one hit Indiana about 3 or so years ago, just strong enough to rattle the windows and all my wife's stuff on the shelves but still freaked a bunch a people out. I thought only California dealt with that stuff. :)

I did have a small tornado pull a tree down that was next to our driveway and literally flatten a 4x4 Toyota truck I had that wasn't even a year old yet. The guy from the body shop that came to appraise the damage didn't even bother getting out of his truck. He just sat in his truck shaking his head while writing on something, look up at my truck again and shaking his head again. Yep it was totaled.
