cb500 in Sydney, Australia

Hey everyone

Just wanted to say a big huge hello and thankyou to the help this community has already given me!

I'm a recent proud owner of a "only just" running cb500 k2. The general idea is to end up with a CR style inspired road/cafe racer. So far I've only replaced the oil filter, de-rusted the tank, replaced the throttle cables and spring, and replaced some of the control parts. Really lookng forward to more work!

by the way I am completely and utterly clueless about anything mechanical so this is fast proving to be a steep but rewarding learning curve

anyway. howdy!
