Just don't go Evo, the AMF era is scary enough! :P
Not putting miles on your bike is like not having sex with your Girl Friend so she'll be more desirable to her next Boy Friend.

Welcome. 42,000 miles and no problems, just tires.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Good god man! This Harley engine is crude!
Started tearing down the mill.
I am having mixed feelings here, half of me is looking forward to the chopper I am going to have, and the other half is shocked by the crudeness and horrible workmanship.
When I am done she will be cool and reliable, but this 70's mill...................yikes!

According to my research, on May 13 and 14 of '79 Harley ran out of the right size rocker studs so did a quick fix with a hex spacer, and my engine is one of them!

That's not all! Harley would sometimes use two different heads on the bikes hoping nobody noticed..................my bike has mismatched heads too! Too funny.

Did I get this right; you have just the motor and you're building a frame?

They are not crude, our Honda were refined. The shovel came out in  66.
He didn't go to the dark side, he went to the torque side..

Jerry is just a lucky guy :)

All others should invest in a chase-truck if you plan to ride out of town ;D ;D ;D  I have witnessed several chopper groups on the highway to Indy and Sturgis in the late '60s and throughout the '70s.......always followed by a RYDER truck.....and one-time verified that it was needed :-[ :-[

There might be affordable ways to improve reliability now; better gaskets and sealants, CNC machine tools, shares in Loc-tite. It'll be a torque monster anyways.
