Weird brake cylinder problem
« on: October 19, 2012, 12:46:24 pm »
Hello.
I have an rear brake caliper from a cb 750. One with single disk in back  (maby 79-80 something). The problem is that the pistons wont go back when pressing on them. I have gone trough the system and lines and everything is good. Ive tried releasing the hose so thats there no "one way valve" that can happen with old hoses. Everything runs smoothly and the brake works fine but i just cant get the piston back?

When i look where the connector for the reservoir go, i see two holes. One bigger and one smaller. The smaller one doesnt go anywhere? Its drilled about 1-2 mm deep and then nothing. Shouldnt it be two hollow holes like in the front brake?

Hope someone have any ideas!
Best regards
Johan

Correct. Use an 11 thou guitar string and clear both holes.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.
