This forum is a bad influence!
« on: October 19, 2012, 07:14:12 PM »
I began working on a '73 CB500 resurrection a few months ago and have been pretty good about keeping my parts buying in check but then out of nowhere another '73 CB500 project bike became available.  I justified it by saying that I could use a part or two on the FIRST bike.  And now I've got two at home and extra parts to boot!  It's a sickness I tell ya! :o
How 'bout some ideas on what to do with bike #2???

this is bike #2 and is actually cleaner than the first bike that I bought.  With the extra parts that I have I will likely end up with a second bike complete!

Although I'm only on my first build, I plan on doing a few restos for the heck of it.  Once you start, its hard to stop.

I've owned over 20 CB750's, but I'm still looking for more! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

But Terry - if you looked at all your parts, how many CB750's could you build?

I like the idea of making a rider out of #2.  I'll get the mechanical systems right and put some tires on it and ride the bugger!  Maybe that experience will guide me to answers regarding riding position, seat type, tire sizes,  bar choices (handlebar) and provide the moto-vation to keep project 500-1 on the fast track.   :D
