I don't know. Is this good or bad? It's not brownish but is grey.
When I ride, maybe because it is cold right now, there is a white smoke that is pretty constant even after the bike is fully warmed up.
It kinda smells like gas but not really. It doesn't really match up with any spark plug diagram I can find.

Looks like it may be lean. However the part that really matters is where the ceramic meats the base of the plug (the threads are shielding it). You may need a flashlight to look down to the bottom of the ceramic.

HEADLIGHT
Got a new headlight. Hella 500 Black Magic driving light from Pepboys. 12v/55w. Hoping it works out. Hooked it up to the HI beam wire so it's only on when I flick the HI switch and it's off in the LO setting. Got all of the wiring out of the old headlight, chopped most of it off and put the rest under the tank. Still working that out. It's a mess. The break line needs to be sorted also. Runs right through the middle where the headlight goes. Probably going to remove the break light switch and just run an unbroken line down to the front brake.


Here's the bracket. Bolts in where there used to be a bracket holding the wiring harness.





Because the future is Hella bright.

I got a powder coat gun and a toaster oven. It's super cheap, super easy and the results are super good. Here's the first test run. It worked out so looking into other oven options.

Painted the wheels black. Just what it needed.


The size of the tank was making the bike look anorexic. I held up the stock side covers and it looked good. Gave it a bit more girth. So having detabbed the frame I started to try and make some new ones out of metal.


But in the mean time I put some tabs back on and popped the stock covers in.


Looks good in photos but if you saw it in person the covers don't sit perfect, on top of being plastic. The new ones will probably bulge out from within the frame triangle. I'll just hinge it and either put the stock air box back in or add a box down there for a trunk.

Rear is 120/80
Front is 110/80

But they were way narrower and thinner than the size would suggest. I'd get 140 in the back and 120 in the front if they have it.

Im really liking what your doing here. Giving lots of ideas for my 550 build.

How's that Dyna Ignition system treating you? I always read mixed reviews about it.

Thanks. The ignition and coils are great. Though I can't say much about how it ran before I put them in because I only had it for a week.

Renthal 7/8" Road Low - Not sure what the length is. Only come in one size as far as I know.

No plan for fenders. Agreed. Riding in the rain sucks with or without fenders.
