Where to get needle jets for 76 CB750F?
« on: October 21, 2012, 07:20:55 PM »
The hole in my needle jets are worn visibly somewhat oval shaped.  I find on the Honda parts sites that these have been discontinued.  I just bought this bike and am going through the carbs.

A discusion I found using search talked about needle and needle jet wear becoming bad enough to warrant replacement after 30-40k miles. This bike only has 11k miles (I know the owner, the odometer reading is correct).  My needles look fine I think; I'll look closer at them under the microscope at work. But the oval shaped hole in the needle jet I can see.

Is there a place to find real Honda needle jets?  Or are there good after market parts?

Thank you in advance,
Bill

BuffaloBill,
the needle and seat is still available from Honda, part #16012-392-004..

The discontinued part that Honda calls the "Needle Jet holder" is actually the emulsion tube that the main jet screws into.

Yamiya still sells the elusive Needle jet holder.  :)

Thanks, but I'm not talking about the float valve.  I mean part #3 on hondapartsdirect parts schematic, under carburetor, for a 76 CB750F.

Thats the correct part number for the needle and seat.
It was still available at my local Honda dealer a few weeks ago.
Motogrid still lists it as available.

Thank you David!  I jumped to the wrong conclusion when you said "needle and seat".  I used the link you posted and ordered them!  I hope they actually do have the parts in stock.  They make good money on shipping.....$18.94 was their cheapest option.  But I'll just be happy to get them.  Service Honda and Honda Parts Direct show it to be discontinued.

That's a terrible word "DISCONTINUED" isn't it Jerry!
