Damn thing won't keep going!

I have a love/despise relationship with my CB550K. I love to ride and really like to get to work on time. Unfortunately Lady Honda doesn't want to charge herself AND needs to stall out and not start when she's hot.

A: why does she not charge?

B: why will she not start when hot? Even with the battery topped up she won't start when hot...
