Rickman cb750 project
« on: October 23, 2012, 09:23:00 AM »
This is going to take a long time as I have other projects running concurrently which have priority but Im
starting to collect the parts that I need so I might as well start on this forum  now
purchased the bike a couple of months ago in big lumps, previous owner had it since 1978 but
never got round to building it up although he had bought some new parts like lockhead master cylinder
and wring loom and bits and bobs , the guy that had it before him only had it for a year, so hopefully
its third time lucky with the attempt to put it together.
I will get some pics in the next couple of weeks and put them up.
first question regards the oil tank, I was at the Stafford mechanics show at the weekend and
enquired about oil tanks at the David Silver spares stand and was told that they were unobtaininum
however plently on fleabay the engine number starts cb750e2466*** so I think its a k6 model
Will I be able to fit the tank of any model with dry sump? bearing in mind its going on a rickman frame
2 x cb350-four honda 500-4 race bike

starting to collect the parts

If, in your seaching you find -
Fork legs and sliders (twin disc model)
    Cast iron disc rotors
    Headlight bracket
    Lower fairing brackets

and you care to part with them, I'd be super interested in taking them off your hands. I need to replace these -

Need to bring mine back to this -

Hi I should have mentioned that I have all the rickman parts, but will not be parting with any.
I have a rickman trident, and have enough to build up a norton atlas 750cc rickman metisse, well
everything apart from the swing arm. but aint decided if the atlas motor is going into the metisse frame,
a featherbed frame or a seeley mkiv frame.
Sorta thinking maybe the metisse frame as then I will have a twin, three and four cylinder rickmans
