New clutch question
« on: October 26, 2012, 08:44:39 AM »
Does the clutch lever become a little stiff after installing new EBC clutch plates? Just finished putting everything back together. Im a little nervous, since this is my first time changing clutch on any bike. Can you guys tell me what i should look for or feel for before i try to start her. any tips will be greatly appreciated. Also can i shift through the gears with out any oil in the motor to see if it works properly.

Did you soak the new clutch in whatever motor oil you are running in the engine before installing them?

Yes you can shift through the gears without oil in the engine, just put the bike on the center stand and spin the rear wheel while moving the shift lever with you hands.
Not putting miles on your bike is like not having sex with your Girl Friend so she'll be more desirable to her next Boy Friend.
