That's the best sounding 550 exhaust anyone's posted. Deep and full one second and screaming the next. Could you cut the can apart so I can see what's inside? ;D ;D ;D

thanks fellas, you aint seen it in person, the photos are making this bike look good, like when you go to buy a bike and its not exactly as good as you thought it was?ive decided to paint it orange again in an attempt to retain some of its originalty.

sheesh who would want to do this everyday for a job?

ive never painted a tank ive just stripped them and handed them to a painter and they come back magic, this is my first serious attempt at doing a tank.

i got some primer on the side covers but now we have a thundery storm and its humid as hell so i wont paint today, killer canary wanted to see whats inside that muffler so here goes.

it had no fibre inside, pressure comes from the right into the cone, the middle at the two reversed cones had a pissy smaller than your little finger hole, what cant squeeze through it has to go backwards via holes in the inside tube then around the outside of the first cone then out those holes on the second cone joining what got through the centre hole, whew!so with twenty seconds of scientific thought i punched the centre hole out to half inch and drilled twelve more holes right through the first cone and tube, ill reassemble it with fibre wool packing.

Lot of back-pressure for an aftermarket. Interesting. I've built race  and multi-chamber types, but this design is baffling. ;D ;D ;D

Good luck with the paint. I am a big fan of the orange. Strongly considering doing my bike in orange... only problem is I'd have to buy a new jacket and gloves and helmet because mine are red! lol

Very nice work, coming along nicely.

One question. There is a decal on the right side rear down tube. Your pic after painting it's gone and now it's back. Reproduction or did it you tape it up.
