Modern rotors for Comstar wheels
« on: October 28, 2012, 01:01:28 PM »
I have a set of the early Comstars and am looking for anyone that might have info regarding any modern rotors that may for them. I really need 320mm rotors, but I can adjust if needed. I have read on here that some Ducati's (never mentioned which ones) will bolt up to the 6 holes wheels. C-stars are 5 holers.

Also,I have a F rear wheel with the disc.Anything match up to those?

Any info is greatly appreciated!

I think all Comstar are 5 bolts..have you seen a set with 6?
I really can't even get thinking of putting any time or cash into that wheel style..jmo..

Nah,I've never seen 6 hole comstars. I'm pretty sure the spokes are the only 5 hole CB wheels. I hear ya on these wheels. They look right on the bike I'm buidling, but they're bricks! A rear Comstar with tire, cush drive, sprocket and rotor come in at 48 lbs!!! Thats pitiful, but new wheels are outta my budget.

EBC makes rotors for the 1977 and 1978 F model with the 5 bolt Comstars.  But at around $230 each, they are pricey.

:o for that price you could find a spoked, dual disc GL complete front + rear, AND have a few bucks left over  :P
