Went bike hunting in Vermont today and ended up bringing this one home. Needs some (Lots!!) of TLC but should be cool when its done.

Nice find. I know those pretty well, as does SamGreenRacing, and Cliff. That is the later model. How are the tank/petcock, mufflers, and mileage?

Petcock has been replaced by a modified Harley petcock. Seems like no originals left on the planet.

Tank is great on the inside. Needs new chrome covers but those can be found.

Mufflers are ok. seen better, seen worse.

Still has the original tires on it. They are shot but for what its worth they are original.

Oh, I have two or three original petcocks. They're just buggers to get to work properly. I may have a chrome cover or two as well. The best source for parts is Ohio Cycle. They're super old fashioned, and you have to figure out your total with shipping, print and fill out an order form, and send it in with a money order. BUT, he has some incredibly difficult to find parts in both used, new, or aftermarket stock, at pretty reasonable prices.

Great find! I located a titled 1964 CA 90 20 miles from me. Pretty rough but all there.

The PO also had a parts bike that was 90% complete for $200. I'm wondering if I should have bought it. Not sure what it's resale or parts value would be.

If it has the body pieces like side covers, chain guards, and the carburetor covers it's a steal at $200.

Cliff, The parts bike will be mine on Saturday (for a few more $ than I hoped). I will pull the chain gaurd and post a pic for you. Then if you want it you can make an offer. Maybe we could work out a trade fro some other parts that you ahve an I need.

It sounds like there are a few of you out there that know these bikes pretty well. I don't know much about them yet. Mine is a CA95. What can you folks tell me about it?
How do you know if it was built for the USA or not?

What is the factory HP?

Any links to the history on these bikes would be appreciated.

I think the CA95(A for American) is rated at 11 or 12 HP. Some markets had turn signals, but not the US.

Yeah, CA95 (& CA92) were US market only. The C92/95 were rest of the world. Mostly they were the same. Main difference as stated above were lack of indicators, also different main wire harness and ignition switch. CA models had Power Jet carb, tach drive on camshaft and 3 bearing cranks.

Magilla, that sounds good. I'm also missing the tail light, a straight bracket for it and a decent pair of handlebars. Mine is much rougher than yours. I may have some 750 parts to trade though. Cliff.

Cliff good news/bad news.

Good news I have handle bars.

Bad news: The parts bike is missing the chain guard . . . and so is my bike DOH!!

I dint have a pic of the rear end of the parts bike so I cant tell what the tail light looks like.

Your parts bike has tires like mine, whitewall in front and semi knobby on the back I think many of these turned into bush bashers. I wonder what happened to all the chain guards? How much for the bars? The tailight looks like what's left of mine, price for it too? Will you ship to Canada? Cliff.
