Noob from North Jersey!
« on: October 29, 2012, 12:33:53 PM »
Hey all! I picked up a 1981 CB650 Custom on Friday. This is my first bike and I'm looking forward to working on my winter project. It's currently not running, the PO said one of the carbs is stuck. Hoping I can just soak them for a while and free it up. Otherwise I'll be on a hunt for a set of 1982 CV carbs. Looking forward to hanging out here.

Please excuse the InstaFail filter, it's a terrible photo.

And this is how I want the bike to turn out. CB450 tank, flat bars and a flat seat.

I really picked a good weekend to get the bike  >:( It's currently sitting under a tarp while this hurricane goes by. I need to clear out my garage so I can start freeing up those carbs!

Take off the tops and pour some cleaner down there and let it sit.
