Talk about extremes! Finish a five (5) month project on the 82 CBX then go completely opposite to a couple of Honda Trail 90's.

Shoot me!

Can't believe the popularity of these bikes not to mention the parts availability. Should be fun. Both titled, one is a 1969 and the other a 1970. The 70 was running not long ago. I plan on a frame off for the 70, using the best parts for the build then parting the rest. Price was right and both titled.

Well, time to parts shop! Again!

Kewl man..........I just picked up a cb100 myself....................neat little projects.

Course mine has a seized engine.

The CT110 version is sold in their 1000s in Oz. Australia Post use them for mail delivery. They're everywhere. Even clubs for them, and an annual rally in the Outback to raise funds for charity.

Original paint I just worked my magic on it.

I was going to repaint because it looked like it was needed but after a little work I am not. Cleaning up nicely. I'll probably do nothing with the other 69. Just sell as is.

Parts are everywhere and inexpensive. OEM parts a plenty. Pit bikes, beach bikes, strapped to Motor Homes. I found a complete 68 in nice condition but still want a S-90.

I used to have a 65 CT200 with the pushrod engine, a 69 CT90 and 70 CT90. From looking at your pics, both of your bikes appear to be 1969 models. The 70 model has the clamp on the handlebars that lets you fold them flat, a larger headlight, an intake that draws air from a chamber in the luggage rack instead of the frame, a different luggage rack (obviously), and rubber pegs. My 1969 model was titled as a 1970 model.

These are fun little bikes and they do great on the trails.

You are correct! Both 69 models one early (reflector on fender) and late model. The one I'm doing is titled as a 70 model but in fact is a 69. Folding bars were on the 70 models.

I plan on selling it when finished as they are quite popular.

Starting rear to front. Tires, tubes, brakes, chain, sprockets. Rebuild forks, new cables, grips, battery etc. Motor has 141 lbs. compression. (spec)

Points were about .35 now set to 003. Go figure. Valves adjusted also. Gas tank is super clean which is good. Carburetor being rebuilt and a motor clean up with new case seals, gaskets etc.

Still waiting on a ton of OEM parts. Have the side cases, front forks, rear chain and other assorted stuff to finish this up.

I went ahead and installed the aux fuel tank. Involved 21 OEM parts. Not sure I needed to do this as it wasn't cheap however I like the look. Guess that's what really matters. I like it.

The rear fender mounting bracket...

The brackets, rubber tank protectors, rubber bumper and OEM lock...

Then the OEM tank, fuel cap, funnel spout, plug, washer etc. ...

Then checked fitment. Vola!

And to date...

Me either and I was a mechanic back then. With the gas mileage they got you could probably ride a couple hundred miles without worry...Larry

Thought I would post some new pictures of the CT-90 build. Just about finished. I have been wrenching on it quite a bit. Looks pretty good for 44 years young.

Waiting on carburetor, few adjustments after that then ready to test ride.
