Topic: lowering neck on 550

i have a old 500 frame I cant get titled so figure ill make some lawn art out of it until I can find another project. Out of curiosity what would happen If you took out 2-3 inches on the down tubes  that hold the steering neck? would it be same/similar as pushing the fork tubes up like some have done

Seems to me like the effect would be the opposite of pushing the forks up in the trees. Unless you push the forks up in the trees, the only effect this would have would be to raise the bottom of the frame rails and increase ground clearance

I know I tried dmv an also third party looked at a third third party internet guy that swears he can get titles hes just a little to pricey. it will just sit in the garage where its been for the past couple months

Too bad you can't sent it to me.......I've been looking for a 550 for a while now........I can get it registered here in Ga. with just a bill of sales.
