A bad ass looking cam!
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

No idea what cam that is, but you never cease to amaze with your finds.  :)

Do you think someone used an  RC cam for a core, then welded and re-ground it? That's what I'm seeing. cool find.

That's gotta be one of the worst welded up cam jobs I've ever seen mate, seriously, that's a paperweight at best. If Russ Collins built that, he must have been drunk.  :o
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I don't know why it looks so bad in the pics Terry, but the lobe sides are smooth.

Yeah, I understand what you're saying, and there's nothing at all wrong with welded up cams, but the concern I have is how poorly finished it is, and how good (or otherwise) the weld quality is. No offence intended, just my opinion mate. Cheers, Terry. ;D

Greggo, always nice to find something interesting, ;D  , the lobe shape is a KH signiture, the RC thing I dont know as the the two RC cams I had were stamped with the cam number eg RC 315  or RC 327  so would have been unusual to not have the grind stamped on.   Who knows ? maybe you have a piece of history where the RC boys had sent a blank out to get some options for R&D   ??? ;D
cheers Johno

Here’s how my Kenny Harmon D grind is stamped and fits 1969-76 CB750 K engines.

It also has R8 stamped near the cam sprocket indicating a regrind from a stock cam.
