Hello From H-town
« on: March 18, 2014, 06:52:36 AM »
I've been lurking around this site and decided to introduce myself.  I'm not new to motorcycles, but it has been years since I've rode one.  One bike that has always stands out for me is the CB550.  As a kid, I remember my dad taking me for rides on his CB550.  It was an experience one never forgets.

Well, fast forward 20+ years later and I found this.  A 1974 CB550K0 I found on Craigslist in December of 2013.  The PO had it stored for a while and wasn’t running when I bought it.  I took her home and gave her some TLC.  Overall, the bike is mostly complete.  It has approx. 10K miles and didn’t really show any signs of neglect.  It came with a MAC 4 into 1 exhaust and pod filters (wrong size).  My plans are to get it running really well with original parts, and maybe customize it in the future.

I want to thank this site for all the tips and tricks I've learned so far and hopefully help others in the future.

My project thread will be created soon.  Here's a picture of her on Craigslist.
