I see you have the picture thing figured out Stev-o!  Glad to see y'all have kept it going so well!

This must be the second easiest one for me.  Already down to two, a stocker and a cafe.  I may let my daughter decide again.  She likes voting.

I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Per Steve-O's request here is my story:
Honda CB750K3:
You know how there is always that old Honda in a barn or shed somewhere that you here stories about, but it always eludes you. Your friend tells you about it, but can not produce pics. Finally you buy something else, but this old Honda in a shed somewhere still sticks in the back of your mind. You keep wondering if it is a true story or a hoax. You can never clear it from your mind and you continue to wonder about it. Well, that is my story that played out for 3 years. I heard about this CB750K3 from a friend and it was owned by his brother some 4 hours away. For one reason or another I could not get any movement or pics of the bike. Then I lost close contact with the friend, but would occasionally bug him about it. Then 3 years later I get an E mail from him with pics of the K3 on a trailer saying, "look what I got." His brother asked him to take it out of his garage for some room. The brother had some offers on the bike, but he did not want to see it riding around his hometown. My friend showed him some pics of what I try to do with these bikes bringing them back to OEM and he was all for it. Build date of 10/72 with last license sticker of 1987. One owner candy bucchus olive with 5,310 miles, tool kit, owners manual, title and original sales receipt of $1,579 purchased May 31, 1973. Tank decals are great. No dents. Side covers are perfect with good paint, no scratches, no cracks. This is the cleanest tank interior I have ever seen with no rust. Carb were the worst I have seen. My plan for this bike was a refurbish which was quite different from the other 750's in my collection. I wanted to see how the bike would look if I kept all the original chrome in place and just did a detailed clean, polish, repair and tune. I did have to chrome the gauge bezels as chrome was lifting and add 2 new blinker housings from damage, but the rest is original equipment. Master and caliper were rebuilt and new 341's installed. Seat is very good with no tears and no rust on the pan. I was pleased with how this turned out. So finally a good ending to the phantom K3 that would not leave the recesses of my mind. It is good to see this bike hit the sunshine again. I think this type of barn find comes along once in a lifetime. I hope you find yours too.

(Copied and pasted from November BOTM)

Sorry it took so long to get back with the additional pictures I promised for my '74 550. We're in the middle of a kitchen remodel and having some problems with the contractor. Anyway, the story of my bike is this. On June 9, 1974 I bought it new in Los Angeles, replacing a 305 Superhawk I had owned for 8 years. I rode the bike cross country on a long meandering ride, ending up back in Ithaca, N.Y. where I was going to school. I rode the bike back east for the next 10 years, including through several winters when the road salt really chewed up the aluminum cases and forks. It was also badly rusted, but I maintained it mechanically with great diligence.  In 1984 we were moving to California and struggling a bit financially, so I left the bike in my mom's basement (think dark and damp) and off we went. I bought another bike when we got out here, but I always planned to get the 550 to the West Coast someday and to get it looking and running like new again. Finally in '94 I got it running and flew back east to ride the bike back to Cal. It was now 20 years old and looked awful, but it ran 5000 miles flawlessly on it's second transcontinental trek. I then started to "restore" it with a goal of keeping it as original as possible. I started disassembly and cleaning/polishing, but I was distressed to find that my rusted out 4-4 exhaust could no longer be OEM replaced. Bummer. With parts all over my garage, the process slowed to a halt due to 3 kids and a crazy job that left me no time to work on the bike. Finally last year (17 years later) we got all 3 kids out of the house and I started back on the project. Fortunately I had always kept the top end oiled and kicked the bike over frequently, so the 17 year sleep took no toll on the engine. My front MC suffered, though and was a sticky gooey mess. I switched back and forth between cosmetic and mechanical issues. MC and front caliper were rebuilt, as were the forks and  swing arm bushings. I installed new coils (Dyna), leads, caps and plugs. Wheel bearings were replaced when I mounted new rubber. New sprockets and chain. I labored over the carbs for days, cleaning them ultrasonically and then doing all the jets by hand with piano wire. I re-used the original jets but replaced every rubber component. All the aluminum was sanded by hand at first because the corrosion was so deep, and then I went through the entire polishing process. Took many hours, but it looks great and everything is still original as per plan. I had some electrical issues which Hondaman helped me sort out. As per his suggestion I cleaned the fuseholders and every bullet connector on the bike by hand, re-using the original harness and all original wiring. The whole process took about 4 months, and the bike was finished Labor Day last year. Shortly after posting pictures on the forum, members informed me that OEM pipes were again available, so to replace the rusted out original exhaust I bought a set and replaced the Mac 4-1 I had installed (now on Frosty's 550 in Australia) with the 4-4 OEM set. The bike is now virtually totally stock, and except for the pipes most everything else is truly original, including the paint and chrome. As might be expected the bike's "patina" includes some nicks and blems which can be seen on close inspection, but get just a few feet away and it looks TERRIFIC. More importantly it is running like it did when it was new- nice idle at 1000-1200 rpm, 46 mpg, great overall performance, suspension still good, etc. It's no trailer queen......I've put about 3000 miles on it in the last year.

Here's my K6 after being scooped off the sidewalk in San Francisco.

It had a FREE sign on it, and my buddy Danny (Domer around here) thought he'd take advantage of that ;)  Corbin needed a bike to build a prototype for new Gunfighter seats, and Danny brought the bike down there.  After months of waiting, Danny got the bike back, but didn't really want to restore it after just buying a Harley, so I bought it off him for a few bucks.  When he brought it out to my place, it looked like this:

My dad and I hauled her up to his shop an hour away, and I got to work!

I had to rebuild or replace many of the components on the bike, but the motor has been solid after a complete tune up.  The pipes are HM300's.  I replaced a Harley rear wheel with bent, rusty spokes with a 17" from a K7.  The tank came from Scott S actually  ;D The side covers came from Stev-o, and many of the other pieces came from the for sale section on this forum.  I couldn't have done it without the help and wisdom at our fingertips on this forum, and look what I have to show for it  :D

I am actually very proud of this bike, as it's my first 750, and my first true restoration...AND, I forgot to mention that the paint on the tank and covers is factory..no resprays.

The votes aren't supposed to be public right?

I don't think they should be either, takes away the mystique of finding out at the end who won and also someone could solicit votes form forum friends or even create new identities just to vote making it unfair in my opinion, {i'm not saying this will happen, just could} It usually isn't shown because of these issues...AFAIK

Votes have always been set up to not show until the poll is expired.

It's actually in the bike of the month rules and how-to, its not just a preference.
HOW IT WORKS:

1.   Monthly nominations will begin at the beginning of the month and run until the 15th.
2.   From the 16th to the end of the month a poll setup will be used to vote.
3.   Users will not be able to view the results until the contest has ended each month.
4.   The user with the most votes wins bike of the month.  If there is a tie, they will win that month and represent that month in the BOTY.
5.   There are 11 BOTM's (January to November) and one BOTY (December).

Also, you posted in the wrong forum.

But, I won't tell you what to do.   ;)   It's nice not having all the backlash directed at me.   ;D

What happen?  The voting poll appeared?  This happened to me a couple times and I think Greggo got hit by it. Easy to do. If you make a change, it will automatically make them viewable. You have to remember to change that setting back before you save. Not anyone's fault, it's the software.

I can't get to it.  The Edit Poll option is missing for me.  Looks like I do not have access to anyone that starts a poll in this forum, just mine.

I added two screenshots, you may be able to do it.  So, Edit Poll> Set the radio button for "Only show the results after the poll has expired"> Save.

Are you talking about the third radio button?  Click in the field where you put the day count. Yanno, the length of the poll. It may un-gray if it is grayed out.

Something has to be in that field to ungray the third radio button.  Just clicking in it sometimes makes a difference.

Tried multiple times. Probably could if I reset the votes but don't want to do that.
