What Year Is This Bike?

Can you tell from these photos? The owner thinks it's a '69. Comments?

Do you not trust the owners word? Can he send you a pic of the VIN tag on the neck?

It would be registered as a 70.  Not much original stuff left on it even some motor parts have been changed..

If the engine is a '69 sandcast, the clutch cover will have 9 screws in it instead of 10 (among other things). If it has 10, it can still be a '69, but not many were titled that way, most were 1970.

If you buy it, get a 19" front wheel in it before you end up with tank slap and a real bad day's ride...  ;)
