How about some close-ups of the carbs? I'm not a 550 expert, but maybe others can tell something?

From what I can tell the carbs are just "F" carbs on a "K" motor with velocity stacks. I'll get a couple of pics today an post them up.

The frame appears to be an F model, on the K, the side stand is much further forward (at least on my '76, it is).
Why do you think you have a K motor?

I think F model frames have the rounded foot peg loops??

The bike is a K model per title/vin. Plus the engine has what appears to be the K model magneto cover which is different on F models...I'll get pics when I get home...

Keep in mind that parts on these old bikes get changed out all the time.
One might think my 550 is an F at first glance, but no, it's a K.
